'Come with me to the casbah'

This year as you probably know is the biggest yet in terms of special releases and we hope to have about 50% of what's on offer in the shop on the day. We will be opening the doors promptly at 10.30 on the morning of saturday april the 21st so get there early if you can, last year we had quite a queue!

Hopefully we should have some instore entertainment in the shape of Londons' favourite psych-rockers the sonic jewels.They should kick off mid afternoon. Also as with previous years we shall have our two casbah lovelies out and about with discount flyers so look out for them, you'll know when you see them! Record Store Day

Record Store Day came into being in 2007 when over 700 independent stores in the USA came together to celebrate their unique culture. The UK followed suit and 2012 will see the fourth celebration of the UK's unique independent sector. This is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists across the globe make special appearances and performances. Festivities include performances, meet & greets with artists, DJ's, in store quizzes and many other events.
